Connecting people to resources is our mission but the health and safety of our patrons and staff is our first priority. Since the flood of May 2020, it has become difficult to accomplish our mission while still keeping patrons and staff safe. The flood left the Library without heat, hot water, a properly working fire alarm system, or air conditioning (in most of the building). Using the 1st and 2nd floor of the Library to house the lower level furniture and materials has saved the Library several hundred thousand dollars on storage costs but made the Library non-ADA compliant. We realize it has been very difficult for many patrons to adjust to curbside services but we want to assure you we are doing everything we can to get the Library up and running again.
