How do I?

Apply for a Library job - Because we are a department of the City of Midland, you will need to visit the City of Midland Human Resources page to see the current job openings. 

Borrow eBooks and other digital items - The library has several digital services.
You can find step by step instructions for using the services.

Borrow items from other libraries -  Use MelCat to search and borrow from other libraries.

Get a library card  - A library card is available free of charge to all individuals who show proof of residency within our service area.

Donate - Drop off your books at the library or donate money.

Manage my account - You can see when your items are due, renew, and manage your holds. You also can request that the library purchase an item and sign up to automatically reserve new items by your favorite authors.  To sign in to your account: type your library card number and password is usually the last 4 numbers of your phone number. If you have any questions about your password please call us at 989-837-3449.

Rent a room at the Library - The Library has rooms available for rent: three conference rooms (20 person capacity), the Community Room with kitchen facilities (49 person capacity), and the Auditorium (266 person capacity).

Search for books and other library items -  Use the catalog in the library or at home.

Talk to someone - Call, email, text, or visit us. 

Use a computerThe library has a variety of computer services available to patrons. They include access to the Internet, word processing, WI-FI and more. You can print in black and white (10 cents a page) or in color (50 cents a page).
