  • Book Club in a Bag - The Library offers a quick and easy way to hold a book discussion group: Book Club in a Bag. Each kit contains ten copies of a popular book and information about the author and book, including some discussion questions, all packaged into a sturdy zipper bag for you to carry.

  • Books Coming Soon See the titles that are due to be released in the near future. Also Reserve Express will automatically place you on the reserve list for new books by your favorite authors.

  • Novelist - Explore fiction with this powerful database.Search by author, title, subject, series, genre, plot and more. Browse book lists, author read-a-likes, and book awards. Includes book discussion guides. 

  • Novelist K-8 Plus - Find great fiction and nonfiction titles for children or teens. Search for items similar to your favorite book and browse for new reads using the many book lists. Tutorials - short videos on specific topics.*

  • Cliffs Notes -  Study guides to help readers better understand literature.

  • Fantastic Fiction - Author bibliographies with all the latest books, covers and descriptions. Also genre lists to find a new author.

  • LibraryThing - List your books and connect to other readers. Also includes reviews, book discussions, and ways to obtain a title.

  • Movies Based on the Book - Find the name of the book that a movie is based on. You can search by year, movie or book title.

  • ReadMichigan - Read eBooks published by Michigan presses and authors.  The collection includes winners of the prestigious Michigan Notable Books award as well as other important books about Michigan. 

  • Readers Advice Booklists - Guide to many online booklists on a wide variety of subjects.

  • Reading Group Choices - Reading Group Choices selects discussable books and develops resources to enhance book club experiences.

  • Stop You're Killing Me - "A website to die for... if you love Mysteries." View authors and series information as well as character job list, awards and read alikes.

  • What's Next - Kent District Library's resource will tell you the order of books in a series. Search by author, title or series.
